Chambal Ghariyals is a professional cricket franchise based in Madhya Pradesh, competing in the MP League T20 Scindia Cup. Established in 2025, the Ghariyals are among the newest additions to the league. The franchise features both men’s and women’s teams. The franchise draws its name from the Chambal River, a region known for its rugged landscapes, historical significance, and unique biodiversity.
The National Chambal Sanctuary is home to the endangered gharial—a rare crocodilian species—as well as gangetic dolphins, Indian skimmers, and a rich variety of aquatic and avian life. Rooted in one of Madhya Pradesh’s most ecologically and culturally vibrant regions, the Chambal Ghariyals aim to reflect the resilience and spirit of their homeland, both on and off the field.
