Who can apply for the Player Development Program?

The trials are open only to male players who meet all the eligibility criteria.

Can players registered with MPCA or any division apply?

No. Players must NOT be registered with any Division or MPCA as of 1 December 2025.

What is the eligible age range for trials?

Players must be 19 to under 22 years old as of 1 December 2025. Date of birth should be on or after 2 December 2003 and before 1 December 2006.

Is employment mandatory to be eligible?

Yes. The player (or parents, if the player is under 21) must be in bonafide employment in Madhya Pradesh for at least 3 months as of 1 September 2025.

What kind of employment is considered valid?

Valid employment includes government, semi-government, corporate, autonomous bodies, or MSEs. Part-time jobs, trainee roles, small shops, or personal businesses are not considered valid.

Can students apply for the trials?

Yes. Players enrolled in a regular educational course in Madhya Pradesh for at least 3 months as of 1 December 2025 are eligible. Distance or online learning courses are NOT allowed.

Are players from outside Madhya Pradesh eligible?

No. Players born outside MP and without permanent domicile in MP are not eligible.

What domicile condition must a player meet?

The player must belong to Madhya Pradesh by birth OR have permanent domicile of MP.

Who verifies eligibility and documents?

Initial verification is done by the franchise, but the MPL Governing Council will re-verify documents of selected players.

What happens if a selected player is found ineligible later?

If the MPL Governing Council finds a player ineligible, they may be disqualified, and the franchise must name a replacement within one week.

Is meeting all eligibility criteria compulsory?

Yes. All eligibility conditions must be met. Final selection is subject to document verification and approval.
